About Michele L. McKee
Michele McKee is a General Civil Litigation attorney. Ms. McKee is also a Civil Engineer, with five years of work experience in the Construction industry prior to obtaining her Law Degree. Ms. McKee was an Engineer with a national engineering design & construction firm and later worked for specialized contractors in the areas of Structural Steel and Flooring. She has performed Structural Design and Construction Management Functions on a variety of projects, including for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
After law school, Ms. McKee gained three years of Construction Law and Litigation experience working for the San Francisco branch of a national specialty construction law firm. Ms. McKee worked for another law firm in San Francisco, focusing on Construction Litigation, Government Contracts, Lawyers’ Professional Responsibility; Providing Additional Advice and Counsel to Businesses on Regulatory Matters.
Ms. McKee has represented General and Specialty Contractors, on both public and private projects, to assert and defend claims for extra work and delay damages. Ms. McKee also has significant experience defending Developers and Contractors against Construction Defect Claims, as well as assisting Homeowners pursuing Construction Defect Claims against Developers and Contractors.
Ms. McKee received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron in Ohio in 1996, Graduating Summa Cum Laude. While working full time as a Civil Engineer, Ms. McKee obtained her Law Degree from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law (Cleveland State University) in May 2002, Graduating Magna Cum Laude. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since May 2003 and has also been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 2002. Ms. McKee has been admitted to practice in all federal districts within California.
