Since our recent reopening, The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens has been diligent in following recommendations from the CDC and public health guidelines issued by state and local authorities. Our indoor spaces have remained closed, and as such we are not currently affected by the changes Governor Newsom announced for Riverside County. These orders have been issued as a means of reducing the spread of COVID-19, and The Living Desert prioritizes the health and safety of the community, staff, and animals. Please review the policies on our health page at livingdesert.org/health for more information on what we are doing to keep the Zoo a safe space for all.
The Living Desert is a 1,200 acre, AZA-accredited zoo and gardens dedicated to conservation and education. Home to more than 450 native and exotic animals that can be found in their natural settings, it is a family-friendly place to explore nature and create meaningful experiences for guests that are remembered for a lifetime.
