As a small, family-owned and operated hardware store with over 50 years in the industry, we have a rich history and deep roots. Originally based in Northern California, our family closed up shop and relocated to Palm Springs, reopening our doors as Palm Springs Hardware in February 2000. Our initial location in Palm Springs was in the old Palm Springs Mall at Baristo and Farrell, across from the high school. In February 2010, we moved to our current location at 1785 E. Palm Canyon Drive in the Smoketree Village Shopping Center.

We are grateful to our ever-growing customer base for following us to our new location. A significant portion of our clientele consists of seasonal visitors, return vacationers, and tourists from across the United States and internationally. Over the years, we have made continuous improvements to better serve our customers’ needs and interests. One of our notable improvements in 2019 was the transition to an Ace Hardware store, allowing us to expand and refine our product selection.

Many who visit our store quickly understand why our customers become loyal fans. Our dedicated staff of over 40 employees is always ready to greet and assist customers, helping them find exactly what they need or offering solutions, even if those solutions are not readily available in our store.

Listening to our customers has guided us in increasing the space in various departments within the store. There have been instances where we sourced small quantities of merchandise for specific customers, only to discover later that these items were immensely popular.
