The Purple Room knows how to get into the spirit of the holidays and will delight guests in December with themed shows from performers such as Diane Schuur, Shawn Ryan, The Skivvies,Scot Bruce as Elvis, and with special menus for Christmas Day and Eve, New Years Eve, and the launch of Frank’s Bourbon Bar offering flights of over 50 rare and premium bourbons.

The celebration kicks off Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, with Shawn Ryan of “America’s Got Talent” fame, who will excite audiences with his new twisted holiday show, “Shawn Ryan Live! In Mistle-Ho with The Kelly Park Band.” Ryan just launched his third album, “Shawn Ryan Live!” Don’t miss this unforgettable night of hysterical music and comedy, including all of your favorite holiday tunes unlike you’ve ever heard them before.

On Friday, Dec. 14, “undie rockers” The Skivvies present their jolly musical comedy in their show “I Touch My Elf.” Expect special guests to join this duo of musicians/singers who perform clever genre-hopping musical arrangements in their underwear and joyfully rock.

Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Diane Schuur visits The Purple Room for two special nightson Friday, Dec. 21, and Saturday, Dec. 22, to entertain audiences with some beautiful holiday music gems from her acclaimed three-decade career.

Scot Bruce brings The King to life in his riveting and rockin’ holiday Elvis tribute show, “Blue Suede Christmas”, on Friday, Dec. 30. The holiday spectacular features the wonderful Christmas songs recorded by Elvis Presley including “Santa Bring My Baby Back,” “Blue Christmas,” and more! This is a show guaranteed to have you ALL SHOOK UP! 

And, as always, ‘tis the season for entertainer Michael Holmes, owner of the desert’s premier supper club, to spoil audiences with his highly popular, high-octane Judy Garland holiday performance in “Judy’s Old Fashioned Christmas” with pianist Joel Baker every Sunday in December through Dec. 30. 

The most wonderful time of the year at The Purple Room also will feature: Joely Fisher, daughter of stars Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher, on “Growing Up Fisher;” Lee Squared, “An Evening with Liberace and Miss Peggy Lee;” Neil Cohen with Todd Schroeder for “Neil’s Basement Tapes;” Palm Springs JUMP! – “A Tribute to Palm Springs Stars;”.

The Purple Room’s fantastic Jazz Happy Hour continues with Mark Kahny and Trish Hatleyfrom 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. 

Mark Kahny also will team with Jay Lewis to perform their holiday jazz during special dinners for Christmas Eve and Dayfrom 4 p.m. ‘til close. Special three course menu features prime rib, Scottish salmon, vegetarian options, and more. Cost is $59.00 per person with no cover. Reservations required.  

On New Years Eve, the Purple Room is offering a three-course dinner with Rose Mallet and Mark Kahny jazz starting at 5:00 p.m. for $65.00 per person with no cover and again at 7:30 p.m. for $95.00 per person. Las Vegas legend Sharon Sills will entertain the last dinner seating starting at 10:00 p.m. for $135.00 per person that includes a champagne toast and party favors. Dinner menu includes escargot, lobster thermidor, New York steak and crab cakes, New Zealand rack of lamb and more. Reservations required.  

Inspired by Sinatra’s favorite spirit, the Purple Room has launched “Frank’s Bourbon Bar” offering more than 50 rare and premium bourbons that include the ultra exclusive and limited, Pappy Van Winklefrom Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. Known to give whiskey lovers goosebumps, bottles of Pappy Van Winkle are scarce to invisible and can fetch a hefty price. The Purple Room is excited to give patrons the rare opportunity to try the Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year, Van Winkle Special Reserve 12 Yearand the Pappy Van Winkle 15 Yearat a tremendous savings with the “Grand Pappy Flight” offered at $55.00 for the flight that can also include other premium bourbons and scotch whiskeys. The Purple Room, located at 1900 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, California 92264, opens every day at 4 p.m., with Happy Hour in the bar and lounge all night long on Tuesday; from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; and from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Dinner and freeentertainment can be enjoyed every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night (no cover). Ticketed shows on Friday and Saturday nights begin with dinner reservations at 6 p.m. and performances at 8 p.m.
