Once again, CVREP is helping to make our hot desert nights cool with their Cabaret Series featuring outstanding performers.  This sumnmer’s line-up promises to be nothing shy of sensational.

Glen brings with him a passion for musicals (matched only by my own) and lots of clips, stories and special guests like Gregg and Ilene guaranteed to entertain and inform!  If you missed his first appearance, don’t miss his second on July 8, 2025.  

On June 19, 2025 the incomparable Sally Mayes took the stage for what was an amazing evening of songs and tales from the career of this Broadway veteran.

Alix Korey is a veteran of 10 Broadway shows, the last being the recent revival of Fiddler On The Roof as Yenta the matchmaker.  Others include roles in All Shook Up, CHICAGO, Neil Simon’s 45 Seconds From Broadway, Triumph Of Love, Ain’t Broadway Grand and Pirates Of Penzance.  Ths award winning actress has a great sense of humor and a powerful voice and always delivers a fun evening.

Susan Edwards Martin, a two-time Broadway World Winner, is an accomplished actress, singer, composer, writer, and Broadway performer. with a career spanning stage, screen, and music. Best known for originating the role of Lady Blues in the Tony Award-winning Torch Song Trilogy, she also starred on Broadway in Bubbling Brown Sugar and The Suicide alongside Derek Jacobi. Susan has toured, Susan tours nationally with her one-woman shows and her original award-winning musical, “Unlimited, the Concert!”  Her vibrant personality and wonderful singing voice promise to make this a great evening.

Julie Garnyé was most recently heard as a vocalist in the blockbuster 2024 film Wicked and was last seen on stage as Leah in the World Premiere of Prelude to a Kiss, the Musical at South Coast Repertory and Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. She has toured with: Come From Away, CATS, HAIR and appeared in CHESS in Concert on Broadway. Expect exciting things from this dynamic performer.

William Ryall is a veteran of 15 Broadway Shows, including Wicked (as Elphaba’s father), Amadeus, Grand Hotel, How To Succeed In Business (with Matthew Broderick), Anything Goes (with Sutton Foster) and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. He made his CVREP debut in Dirty Blonde as all of the men in Mae West’s life.  His repertoire of song and stories from his life in the theatre will be another great evening in this summer’s series

CLAYBOURNE ELDER: IF THE STARS WERE MINE * │July 17, 2025
Bringing his favorite music from the Great American Song book, Sondheim, Whitney Houston, and others, Elder explores sex, fatherhood, religion and love. He is currently playing John Adams on HBO’s smash hit The Gilded Age and recently starred on Broadway as Andy in the Tony Award®-winning revival of Company with Patti LuPone. Some of Elder’s other shows include Sunday in the Park with George, Bonnie and Clyde, and Torch Song. Critics call him “handsome and intense” (Observer), “tough and tender” (New York Daily News) and “stupid funny as he is drop-dead buff!” (The Wrap).  Sounds like the makings of a great evening to me!

Jeff Harnar makes his CVREP debut withhis critically acclaimed album and show, Jeff Harnar Sings Sammy Cahn: The Second Time Around.  Cahn was a lyricist with more Academy Award® nominations than any other songwriter: 26!  The show shines a special spotlight onto Cahn’s lyrics for Sinatra, Hollywood, and World War II. Featured songs include: “All The Way,” “Teach Me Tonight,” “Call Me Irresponsible,” “I Fall in Love Too Easily,” “Saturday Night (Is the Loneliest Night of the Week),” and “Time After Time.”

Actor, director, singer, choreographer Lee Roy Reams is a Broadway icon.  His many Broadway shows include Mel Brooks’ The Producers (playing Roger Debris), 42nd St.  for which he received Tony® and Drama Desk nominations, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (lighting up the stage as Lumiere), Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles, Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly! and Henry Spofford in Lorelei, both starring Carol Channing. He has also performed in Applause, Oklahoma!, Sweet Charity, An Evening With Jerry Herman, Peter Pan, Victor/Victoria, My Fair Lady and White Christmas. With a resume like this, there is no doubt that his show will be one worth seeing!

CHRISTIANE NOLL │ July 31, 2025
Christiane Noll received Tony® and Drama Desk nominations and won a Helen Hayes Award for Mother in the revival of Ragtime. She starred in the first National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, later taking over role of Cynthia Murphy on Broadway. She made her Broadway debut as Emma in Jekyll & Hyde, receiving a FANY Award. Noll received her second Drama Desk nomination for her work in Chaplin on Broadway. She was seen as Sister Margaretta in NBC’s The Sound of Music Live with Carrie Underwood.  Christiane has also toured in Urinetown, The Mambo Kings, Grease!, Miss Saigon and City of Angeles as well as appearing in Next To Normal, Follies, Closer Than Ever, Little Shop Of Horrors, Into The Woods, and 1776.  This promises to be another knockout evening from another Broadway great!
