Cocktails on the Page Arnaz Luckinbill

The Palm Springs Public Library Foundation will welcome two beloved entertainment icons—Lucie Arnaz and Laurence Luckinbill—as featured guests for its annual Cocktails on the Page fundraising event on Sunday, March 8 from 4–6 pm. Held at a private estate in the historic Movie Colony neighborhood, this intimate gathering blends literary celebration, community support, and classic Palm Springs glamour.

Guests will enjoy a relaxed poolside cocktail hour with light appetizers while Arnaz and Luckinbill discuss their latest books, their storied careers, and their shared passion for libraries. The conversation will be moderated by Foundation Board Member Corey Roskin, offering attendees a rare opportunity to hear personal insights from two artists whose work spans stage, screen, and literature.

A limited number of tickets are available, and each includes admission to the catered event, appearances by both authors, and a copy of each of their books. Tickets are $175 per person ($100 tax‑deductible) and may be purchased at:

Arnaz’s newest release, “Lucy & Desi: The Love Letters” (November 4, 2025), presents an extraordinary collection of handwritten correspondence between her parents, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Featuring envelopes, stamps, custom stationery, and rare family photographs, the book offers the most intimate portrait yet of one of Hollywood’s most iconic couples.

Luckinbill’s memoir, “Affective Memories: How Chance and the Theater Saved My Life” (April 8, 2024), chronicles his journey from a turbulent childhood to acclaimed success on Broadway, in Hollywood, and in groundbreaking works such as The Boys in the Band, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and The Delphi Bureau. His story explores resilience, artistry, activism, and his four‑decade marriage to Arnaz.

Both books will be discussed at the event, and each attendee will leave with signed copies—making this a standout literary afternoon in support of the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation’s mission to champion literacy, learning, and community enrichment.
