The City of Coachella’s annual Fiestas Patrias event will be returning to Rancho Las Flores Park this coming Sunday with a full lineup of live entertainers. The event will run from 3 to 10 pm, and will provide an array of activities, food vendors, community partners, and an exciting lineup of performers including La Septima Banda, Tony Montoya, Los Perdidos de Sinaloa, Alan Escoboza, Banda Reyna del Valle and Banda La Inconfundible. This widely popular event is returning to the City in partnership with La Poderosa 96.7 FM and Telemundo 15 Palm Springs and the Consulado de Carrera de Mexico in San Bernardino.

“This event represents Mexican independence, and the independence of many nations throughout Latin America,” said Mayor Steven Hernandez. “It’s an event where history is taught and the community gathers to celebrate a rich tradition.”

While music is the centerpiece of this event, other activities are planned for entertainment of guests of all ages such as free giveaways from the City and other community partners in attendance. Guests should note that coolers and outside alcohol will not be permitted at the event.

“It’s exciting to be able to hold an event celebrating the rich tapestry of our culture right here in our own backyard,” mentioned Mayor Pro Tem Neftali Galarza.
