Arenas District Businesses Join Together to Support Palm Springs AIDS Memorial Sculpture

Arenas District businesses — Blackbook, QuadZ, Hunters, Streetbar. Gaymart, and Chill Bar — will come together to host fundraisers for the Palm Springs AIDS Memorial Sculpture (PSAMS) over an extended Labor Day weekend with the goal of raising the remaining funds needed to complete the project. Arenas Road patrons will be able to learn more about the memorial, see the artist’s maquette (model), and donate towards its completion. Every contribution made on Arenas will be matched up to $15,000 by Craig Attebury and GayMart in memory of Tim Foutch.

Proceeds from the week-long roving fundraiser will benefit the Palm Springs AIDS Memorial Sculpture Task Force and will be used to finish funding the creation and installation of a permanent AIDS memorial, designed by local artist Phillip K, Smith, III, in downtown Palm Springs.  For more information, visit psaidsmemorial.org.
