2024 Center Stage Gala Logo

The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, in collaboration with Eisenhower Health, is thrilled to announce the 2024 Center Stage gala, themed “Creating Community. Making Magic.” This highly anticipated event, set for October 19, 2024, at the Palm Springs Air Museum, promises an unforgettable evening celebrating the vibrant LGBTQ+ community of the desert.

The gala will highlight the lifesaving work of The Center and honor key contributors. CEO Mike Thompson invites everyone to join in recognizing philanthropists John McDonald and Rob Wright with the Legacy Award for their significant impact on both the local and national LGBTQ+ communities. Their longstanding support extends to organizations like the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Williams Institute at UCLA.

Additionally, Arnie Kassoy will be celebrated for his extraordinary donation of over 33,000 square feet of land, which will become the future home of The Center’s Arnold Kassoy Campus. This visionary gift underscores Kassoy’s dedication to the community.

The evening will culminate in a performance by Abi Carter, the latest American Idol winner and a Coachella Valley native, ensuring a night filled with excitement, joy, and memorable moments. All funds raised from the event will benefit The Center, supporting its ongoing mission to serve the LGBTQ+ community.
