Different fresh vegetables on the table

As the temperature rises, the Original Palm Springs Certified Farmers’ Market is preparing for its customary annual relocation. This Saturday, May 27th, marks the last day of our outdoor season. As we close another successful chapter, we’re filled with gratitude for the continued support from our local community. Your commitment to buying local and sustaining family farms makes all the difference! Please join us this Saturday for our final day of farm-fresh fun in the sun until fall.

To ensure the comfort of both our patrons and produce, the Market will transition from its current outdoor location at the Palm Springs Cultural Center to the air-conditioned Palm Springs Pavilion, at 401 S Pavilion Way on June 10th, after a one week break. Our operating hours remain the same: Saturdays, 8am – 1pm. The Palm Springs Certified Farmers’ Market is a program of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Palm Springs Cultural Center and is able to operate year round thanks to the generous sponsorship of the City of Palm Springs, the Spa Resort Casino, and Porsche Palm Springs. Summer sponsorship opportunities are still available.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center operates the only mission-driven farmersโ€™ markets in the region. Not only can customers of the Original Palm Springs Certified Farmersโ€™ Market use their EBT card to shop the Market, they can also participate in Market Match, the only nutrition incentive program in the Coachella Valley. Market Match provides a dollar-for-dollar match for shoppersโ€™ CalFresh EBT benefits at participating farmersโ€™ markets, enabling low-income families to purchase more healthy fruits and vegetables. For example, if a customer spends $15 in CalFresh benefits, participating farmersโ€™ markets provide a matching $15 credit to double the customerโ€™s purchasing power for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Additionally, the Riverside County WIC Office will be distributing Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers throughout the summer, and WIC recipients will receive more information from local WIC representatives via text or email.
