The holiday season has arrived on the radio dial in the Coachella Valley. Beginning November 3, 92.1 MeTV FM has officially switched to an all-Christmas music format, bringing listeners a continuous blend of holiday favorites through December 27.
Known for its mix of timeless and memorable music, 92.1 MeTV FM is celebrating the season with a wide-ranging playlist that spans generations. Listeners can expect to hear classic holiday recordings from legends such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra alongside contemporary favorites from artists including Mariah Carey. The goal is to create a soundtrack that evokes cherished memories while helping families and friends get into the festive spirit.
The holiday programming is available throughout the Coachella Valley on 92.1 FM and can also be streamed online at https://www.921metvfm.com. The station’s online player includes a playlist feature that allows listeners to identify the title and artist of songs currently playing.
According to station owner Brad Fuhr, the decision to launch the holiday music format on Election Day was intentional.
“Listening to holiday music is one of the most cherished traditions around the holidays as people prepare for time with family and friends,” said KGAY PSP. “So we wanted to get a head start on it today, election day, to put people in a better mood.”
In addition to nonstop holiday music, 92.1 MeTV FM plans special programming on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, adding even more seasonal entertainment for listeners throughout the desert communities.
92.1 MeTV FM is part of the KGAY PSP media family, joining KGAY 103.1, Sunny 106.5 FM, Gay Desert Guide, and Oasis Marketing Group. Together, the locally owned media properties serve the Coachella Valley through radio, digital media, community engagement, and local news coverage.
The station also serves as the radio companion to MeTV, America’s leading classic television network. MeTV features beloved television favorites including The Golden Girls, MASH*, The Carol Burnett Show, All in the Family, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Honeymooners, The Love Boat, and Fantasy Island, among many other vintage series.
For local listeners looking to kick off the holiday season early, 92.1 MeTV FM is now providing a festive soundtrack around the clock through December 27.
