Cathedral City’s 2019 LGBT Days Festival, scheduled for March 29–31, will honor the LGBT community and celebrate the diversity of Cathedral City under the worldwide Pride theme of Millions of Moments of Pride. The free weekend festival includes an opening night evening of DJs and live entertainment, the 5th annual community LGBT Days Bed Race, live musical performances, outdoor dancing, food, beverages, community booths, pool parties and events at local businesses.

Here’s what you need to know about Cathedral City’s LGBT Days 2019 Pride Festival, taking place at Cathedral City’s Downtown Town Square Park, in front of City Hall and other Cathedral City Hot Spots.

Friday, March 29
Opening night block party from 6:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. with DJs and live entertainment presented by The Roost Lounge and AMP Sports LoungeKGAY 106.5 will be on hand broadcasting live from the block party in The Roost and AMP parking lot. At 9:00 p.m. Friday night, catch the special preview appearance of LGBT Days headliner Beth Sacks along with the hottest meet and greet in the desert! Come meet today’s hottest adult entertainers including Rocco Steele at the Runway / CCBC Resort meet and greet party.

Saturday, March 30
From 10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., the festival in Town Square will include exhibitors, non-profit organizations, a beverage garden as well as food, and beverage vendors. Admission to the bed race and festival and parking are free.

A highlight of the weekend will be the 5th annual Cathedral City LGBT Days Bed Race at 11:00 a.m. Fans and spectators will line-up and cheer on their favorite teams as they race, sashay or simply saunter by to the finish line. Host Bella da Ball will officiate the morning’s activities that promise a little drama and suspense.  Teams of five pick a costume theme, decorate a racing bed, step into some racing shoes or fancy pumps, and race for the coveted winner’s trophy. Teams vie for bragging rights and prizes.

Featured festival main stage entertainment includes American Idol star and fan favorite Ada Vox. In 2018, Ada Vox became the first ever American Idol contestant to audition and enter the competition as a drag queen and make it to the top ten.

Direct from New York, Beth Sacks–The internationally acclaimed house artist–has been working with International Circuit Remixer and Producer DJ Aron since 2012 and headlined for Miami, Washington DC and New York City Pride Festivals, Cherry Weekend in DC, the Paradiso White Party in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Masterbeat Hard Labor Party in Los Angeles, Viva Saturdays (NYC’s biggest gay dance, party), WE Party 6th Anniversary in Madrid and the WE Paradise Party in London on New Year’s Day. And now, she’s in Cathedral City!

This year’s featured live band is The Gand Band. They bring their Chicago sound to the LGBT Days main stage on Saturday afternoon. Come dance in the streets to their Rock’n’Soul jukebox full of 60s Psychedelic, Surf music, 70s Funk, Chicago Blues, and Memphis Soul music.

Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Modern Men, and emcee Bella da Ball will be joined on stage with live performances all afternoon. All performances are free and will be at the main stage in front of city hall.

The Barracks Bar celebrates Pride in Leather Style on Saturday at 9:00 pm as they host the 3rd Annual Fetish Ball.

Sunday, March 31
After enjoying the festival on Saturday, Cathedral City LGBT Days continues with various activities at local businesses including the Noon to 4:00 p.m CCBC Resort Hotel Pool Party.
The weekend will close with another pool party at CCBC Resort Hotel from Noon to 4:00pm, the Millions of Moments of Pride Dance party with DJ Paul at AMP Sports Lounge from 9:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. and celebration Beer Busts at The Barracks Bar and at CCBC.
