The Palm Springs Modernism Show once again delivered a standout weekend of design, craftsmanship, and collector energy as more than 15,000 attendees visited the annual event during Modernism Week in Palm Springs. According to the organizers, the Show maintained attendance levels on par with the previous year, reinforcing its status as one of the most influential design fairs in North America.
The weekend opened with a soldโout Preview Party on Friday, February 13, where more than 1,300 guests explored curated offerings while supporting Modernism Weekโs scholarship, educational, and community grant programs. โThe Show kicked off with an exclusive Preview Partyโฆ setting the stage for a weekend of design exploration,โ the release noted.
Design luminaries including Michael Berman, Barclay Butera, Peter Dunham, Brad Ford, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Donna Livingston, and Trina Turk mingled with exhibitors and guests, while celebrity attendees such as Jane Seymour, Vanna White, Bob Mackie, Mickey Rourke, and Katherine McPhee added to the excitement.
This yearโs Show featured a record 144 exhibitors from across the U.S. and around the world, offering an expansive selection of vintage 20thโcentury pieces and contemporary 21stโcentury design. Furniture, lighting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, photography, textiles, vintage clothing, and more filled the Palm Springs Convention Center, with each piece independently sourced to ensure oneโofโaโkind authenticity.
Rosemary Krieger, CEO of Dolphin Promotions, emphasized the Showโs growing influence: โOur carefully curated collection of dealers attracted significant designers to our Designer Preview eventโฆ It offered a stunning showcase of vintage and midcentury treasures.โ
Modernism Week CEO Lisa Vossler Smith echoed the sentiment, noting the Showโs importance to the broader festival: โMany attendees travel to Palm Springs specifically for the opportunity to engage with the showโs exceptional dealers.โ

Exhibitors reported strong sales and enthusiastic engagement. VLAZE, exhibiting for the first time, sold out its entire display and secured new business. โThe response to our product was incredibleโฆ From a sales perspective, it exceeded expectations,โ said Matthew Bainbridge of VLAZE.
Palm Springsโbased a La MOD also celebrated a successful return, highlighted by the sale of a rare Karl Springer Coromandel HandโCarved Four Panel Screen. Whatever Gallery of San Diego reported major placements, including 1930s bentwood lounges entering the iconic Kaufmann House and a Leroy Setziol room divider destined for a Palm Springs residence.
