Palm Springs, California, is set to host the 20th anniversary of Modernism Week, a celebration spanning from February 13 to 23, 2025. The 11-day festival will offer over 500 events, including home tours, the Palm Springs Modernism Show, walking tours, and nightly parties.
Mark Davis, Modernism Week Theater and Travel Producer, expressed excitement about the array of live entertainment, a highlight of the event. This year, the festival features performers from the Palm Springs International Jazz Festival and other curated acts.
Key events include the Modernism Week 20th Anniversary Opening Night Extravaganza on February 13th at the Palm Springs Air Museum, an event combining midcentury Palm Springs nightclub glamour with a Vegas-style spectacle. Exclusive tribute performances will celebrate icons such as Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and Elvis Presley. The evening also includes cocktails, gourmet cuisine from Lulu, and entertainment from DJ Modgirl.
Other notable events include the Exclusive Sunset Reception at the Legendary O’Donnell Golf Club, with music by The Dreamboats, an immersive cocktail party celebrating The Monkees, and a romantic evening with Richard Shelton singing Sinatra’s classics.
The Palm Springs International Jazz Festival returns, featuring performances by acclaimed artists such as Chucho Valdés & Irakere 50 featuring Arturo Sandoval, Dianne Reeves, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and Charles Lloyd with Bill Frisell, Gerald Clayton, and Reuben Rogers.
Additionally, PS Underground offers themed dining and entertainment shows, including the jazz-centered Sunny Side of the Street, the nostalgic Ponytails, Chiffon, and Shangri-La, and the musical brunch PAJAMA GAME.
