Tickets for the 7th annual Center Stage Gala, presented by Eisenhower Medical Center, and headlined by singer-songwriter Steve Grand, and the quick witted comic Kate Clinton, are now on sale, announced Mike Thompson, CEO of The LGBT Community Center of the Desert. Scheduled for Friday, October 28, 2016, at the Riviera Palm Springs, tickets are $195 for the Reception, Silent Auction, Dinner & Show, with table sponsorships at $2,500 and up still available.
“With a career spanning more than 30 years, Kate Clinton is at the top of her game and ready to step-up to the Center Stage mic once again to captivate our guests with her quick-wit and unparalleled humor. There will be plenty of LOL’s…and perhaps some ROFLMAO’s,” says Thompson.
In keeping with recent tradition of highlighting young LGBT talent, The Center is excited to announce that singer-songwriter Steve Grand will be this year’s musical entertainment. From the release of his 2013 debut single, “All American Boy,” Grand and his music, became a smash, viral hit. His self-produced and self-financed video, which went from zero to a million YouTube views in a matter of days, launched him into the spotlight and he’s been there ever since.
“Once again we expect this to be a sold-out event,” said Thompson. “Center Stage has now become of one of season’s kickoff events, and highlights of the Coachella Valley social season.”
“We are thrilled to have such incredible talent come and support The Center,” said Thompson. “The support for this line-up and the work of The Center is overwhelming. And once again we are honored Eisenhower Medical Center is returning as our Presenting Sponsor. Eisenhower has been exceptional in their support of The Center as our Health & Wellness partner.”
