Metropolitan Fashion Week brings its signature blend of couture, performance, and cinematic glamour to Palm Springs on Sunday, April 26, transforming the legendary Frank Sinatra Twin Palms Estate into a one‑night‑only fashion destination. Set against the estate’s iconic mid‑century architecture, the evening features Fashion Masterpieces inspired by classic Hollywood romance and modern design, including an exclusive presentation by celebrity fashion designer Douglas Tapia and acclaimed hat designer Arturo Rios. Guests will also experience live performances by multi‑award‑winning British actor and singer Richard Shelton and Kendall Jo, presenting “The Way You Look Tonight,” a showcase that reimagines golden‑era cinema through a contemporary lens .
The night continues with “Rat Pack Fashion” by Metropolitan Fashion Men’s Formal Wear, followed by a dramatic outdoor runway presentation of men’s swimwear by Parke & Ronen, presented by Peepas Men’s Store, and women’s swimwear by ADICORA Swimwear, all staged beside the estate’s iconic piano‑shaped pool as the sun sets behind the mountains. The show culminates in a spectacular artistic finale celebrating Palm Springs artist Shag, bringing one of his mid‑century‑inspired works to life through an immersive, interactive installation.
The event is hosted by KESQ News Anchor Peter Daut and KESQ Meteorologist Katie Boer, with Emmy‑winning journalist Jake Ingrassia as presenter. And powering the entire evening’s atmosphere is DJ Galaxy, who will be shaping the event’s musical energy from start to finish.
Proceeds benefit The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, supporting its mission to create vibrant community and connect LGBTQ+ people across the Coachella Valley.
