Compassionate Counseling and Therapy Services

About A Queer View (AQV)
A Queer View (AQV) was founded by Joseph Voors, a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience serving the LGBTQ2+ community and its allies. Joeโs work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and deep respect for each personโs lived experience.
At AQV, the belief is simple and powerful: everyone deserves a safe, affirming space to heal, grow, and live fully as themselvesโfree from judgment and shame.
Our Therapeutic Philosophy
Therapy at A Queer View is grounded in:
- Compassionate, client-centered care
- Respect for each individualโs unique story
- An understanding of the social, cultural, and systemic factors that shape identity
- A commitment to healing that honors both personal and collective experiences
This approach creates space for meaningful growth, resilience, and self-acceptance.
A Collective of Affirming Therapists
AQV operates as a collective of dedicated therapists, all of whom identify as LGBTQ2+ or are strong allies of the community. This model allows clients to be thoughtfully matched with clinicians who understand the nuances of:
- Queer and LGBTQ2+ identities
- Gender diversity and gender-affirming care
- Intersectionality and lived experience
- Community-based and social justice-informed healing
Our therapists share a deep commitment to inclusion, equity, and the belief that healing happens not only within individuals, but within communities as well.
A Space Where You Belong
At A Queer View, therapy is more than treatmentโitโs a collaborative, affirming process designed to support authenticity, empowerment, and connection. Every client is met with respect, understanding, and care.
