Usually, the Indio, California music festival unveils its lineup in January, kicking off the year in North American festivals. But this year, the lineup arrived on November 20th — the earliest Coachella lineup drop since it moved from October to April in 2001. It’s likely an effort to generate a longer runway for ticket sales, given how hostile the landscape is for major festivals right now — not to mention that 2024 was, more or less, an off year for Coachella.
Coachella returns to its usual fanfare in 2025 with Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott as headliners.
