Blackbook Bar & Kitchen, the beloved LGBTQ+ haven in Palm Springs, has been honored with a prestigious national recognition. Entrepreneur magazine has named Blackbook one of America’s 15 favorite local nightlife spots, joining an exclusive list of independent businesses that epitomize the spirit of main street America.
The editors of Entrepreneur meticulously evaluated over 100 data points, including ratings, foot traffic, repeat visits, customer photos, and even tipping habits, to compile their annual list of “America’s Favorite Mom & Pop Shops.” Blackbook, alongside 14 other exceptional establishments from across the US, stood out for its unique blend of hospitality, atmosphere, and culinary offerings.
Known for its welcoming ambiance, attitude-free craft cocktails, and mouthwatering regionally-inspired American fare, Blackbook has become a cherished destination for both locals and visitors alike. The bar’s reputation as a “must-visit” spot is solidified by its recognition in publications such as Eater LA, US News & World Report, and Suitcase.
“To see our team’s hard work and dedication recognized on a national scale is both rewarding and humbling,” said Blackbook owner, Dean Lavine. “It shows what can happen when you approach your work with love.”
Blackbook was founded in 2017 as an inclusive bar in Palm Springs’ LGBTQ+ Arenas District. Since then, it has become a favorite spot for drinks, food, and socializing. The bar offers a wide selection of original cocktails and a delectable menu featuring Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches, burgers, wings, and more.
With its inviting atmosphere and commitment to inclusivity, Blackbook has earned its place as one of America’s top local nightlife spots.
