Back by popular demand for one more happy hour with dogs this season, Yappy Hour will be held at the pet-friendly Riviera Resort Palm Springs on Thursday, April 4th from 5-7pm in Cody’s Courtyard for a Spring finale. Palm Springs Yappy Hour benefits Animal Samaritans, a 501©3 charity established in 1978 to improve the lives of animals and people.
Canines and Caftans in April
Welcome Spring in a beautiful grassy environment with fashion and fun. Award-winning guitarist Alex Santana plays relaxing sounds as you sip, snack, and socialize with your dog. Humans without dogs welcomed too. Palm Springs style is celebrated as we encourage attendees to wear a caftan and join with their dogs in a Caftan promenade; shop a pop-up Caftan shop from Coco Rose; and enter a Caftan Contest with prizes. Contest judges include Sheri Johnson, designer of California Caftans. The garden party offers plenty of lawn space and shade for people and pets.
Resort Setting, Drinks, Food and Drink Options
A suggested charitable donation of $20+ includes complimentary served wine, sake tastings, passed hors d’oeuvres and desserts, and dog treats at Palm Springs Yappy Hour. A cash cocktail bar offers a full bar and nonalcoholic options. Our presenting sponsor is H3K Home Mod Dog and this month’s wine sponsors are C.G.Di Arie Winery and Flash Focus Photography. Photographer Kathy Rappaport will be on hand to discuss pet and people portraiture. We thank the Riviera Resort, Nothing Bundt Cakes Palm Desert, Petco Palm Springs, Wabi Sabi Japan Living, Eileen Burke of Coco Rose, Seaplane Shirts, Twin Palms Clothing Co., California Caftans, Gay Desert Guide and KGAY Radio.
