We just spent a “stealth” week and weekend with Zach & Evan, a charming gay couple who have fallen in love with Palm Springs. Who wouldn’t? They’re planning a 2019 wedding in Greater Palm Springs, so who better to show them around than me: Gay Desert Guide’s Brad Fuhr? I was joined by Los Angeles radio personality Alexander Rodriguez,from On the Rocks Radio Show heard weekly on iHeartRadio.
Gay Desert Guide’s wedding channel “Married in Palm Springs” provided the couple with their initial list of properties to see for both the ceremony and the reception. We introduced them to Wedding Warriors, a trade group of wedding-related vendors at the group’s monthly mixer at Escena Lounge. With those spectacular views at dusk, the couple fell in love with the venue. The scene played out as we visited some of the area’s choicest wedding venues: The Westin Mission Hills, Colony 29, Colony Palms, The Saguaro, The Ace Hotel & Swim Club, the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs, The Korakia Pensione and properties from Acme House Company.
The couple hails from Pittsburgh and have become YouTube sensations with their sincere and touching engagement video, which you can view HERE. The “everymen” vlog about their lives as a gay couple, goofy challenges and travel vlogs, and are two of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. We at Gay Desert Guide are honored to be helping them plan their wedding!
After Evan’s parents joined them, we met with wedding planner and florist Gregory Goodman, at My Little Flower Shop who provided some great tips and got them thinking about the floura and fauna that will accent the big day. We lunched at the Ace Hotel’s King’s Highway and snuck in just before another wedding was set to begin.
Their visit ended with a trip to Joshua Tree for a sunrise engagement photo shoot. Look for those pics on their Instagram Page.
