Point of Pride, a transgender-led nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to gender-affirming care, has been named a finalist in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards. The organization earned recognition in the LGBTQ+ Advocacy & Support category within Belonging & Inclusion for its campaign, โ€œ10 Years. Thousands of Trans Lives. Direct Support, No Matter the Cost,โ€ which highlights a decade of providing direct assistance and health care support to transgender individuals.

The Anthem Awards, launched by The Webby Awards, recognize organizations, nonprofits, brands, and individuals creating meaningful social impact worldwide. This year’s finalists were selected from more than 2,500 entries submitted from around the globe, making the distinction a significant acknowledgment of Point of Pride’s work and the community that has sustained it over the past ten years.

Since its founding in 2016, Point of Pride has focused on addressing some of the most pressing barriers facing transgender people. The organization reports that many of those it serves have experienced housing insecurity, discrimination in healthcare or employment, and live in states where anti-trans legislation poses ongoing challenges. Through programs such as its HRT Access Fund, Point of Pride helps individuals access gender-affirming hormone therapy and other essential healthcare services when financial obstacles might otherwise prevent treatment.

According to Point of Pride, its impact extends across all 50 states and reaches individuals in 129 countries. To date, the nonprofit has awarded more than $6.3 million in financial aid and provided support to approximately 30,000 transgender people worldwide.

Organization leadership says the finalist recognition reflects the strength and resilience of the transgender community itself. Point of Pride Executive Director Jeff Main emphasized that the organization’s mission has always been rooted in the belief that transgender people understand their own needs and that financial hardship should never prevent access to necessary healthcare. The organization credits its supporters, donors, and volunteers for making that vision possible.

Chief Advancement Officer Aydian Dowling noted that the organization’s focus extends beyond overcoming barriers, emphasizing the importance of celebrating the success, joy, and everyday lives of transgender people who receive care and support.

The finalist recognition also places Point of Pride in contention for both a judged Anthem Award and the public-voted Anthem Community Voice Award. Community members can support the organization by voting through Thursday, October 29 at https://celebrate.anthemawards.com. Public voting is conducted in partnership with NationBuilder and helps determine the Community Voice winners in each category.

All Anthem Award winners, including Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Community Voice honorees, will be announced in the Anthem Winners Gallery on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
