Modernism Week returns Thursday, February 12 through Sunday, February 22 with more than 450 programs celebrating midcentury architecture, design, and culture across Greater Palm Springs. While many signature events have already sold out, a wide range of compelling experiences still have availabilityโ€”including an impressive lineup of free and lowโ€‘cost options. Visitors can explore tours of iconic homes, talks with leading architects and preservationists, film screenings, vintage markets, and special events that highlight the regionโ€™s rich modernist legacy. Tickets and full program details are available at modernismweek.com.

Among the standout offerings is the Opening Night Party: Modernist Motown on Thursday, February 12, a vintageโ€‘glam celebration of music, style, and Palm Springs flair. The Palm Springs Modernism Show returns February 13โ€“16, giving collectors and design lovers the chance to browse rare furniture, art, and accessories. Architect Elizabeth Diller of Diller Scofidio + Renfro headlines this yearโ€™s keynote on Friday, February 14, while the World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize Ceremony makes its first appearance outside New York City on Tuesday, February 18.

Tour enthusiasts will find a full slate of opportunities, including the Featured Home Tour of The Marquee at Twin Palms, the annual Lautner Compound Tour, and an exclusive โ€œTour With the Authorโ€ experience led by Daniel Chavkin, offering rare access to private residences by legendary architects. Casa Cody hosts a Sip, Stroll & Brunch on Monday, February 17, blending history, hospitality, and mountain views.

Modernism Week also presents a robust schedule of talks and presentations, from a symposium on the future of housing to a multimedia journey through the history of the Plaza Theatre. New film screenings, including a shortโ€‘documentary double feature and the quirky โ€œWeird and Wonderful World of Industrial Musicals,โ€ add to the festivalโ€™s cultural depth.

Free events remain a major highlight, with options such as the Modernism Week Vintage Car Show, the Modernism Yard Sale, schoolโ€‘led design projects, and multiple Trina Turk gatherings. CAMP, the festivalโ€™s central hub, hosts receptions, themed afternoons, and Shag Store events throughout the week. Art lovers can explore exhibitions, district tours, and handsโ€‘on design experiences at no cost.

With support from major sponsors including Ferguson Home, Brizo, Dunnโ€‘Edwards Paints, Monogram, Cotino, DWR, Flor, and Natural Retreatsโ€”and civic presenting sponsorship from the City of Palm Springsโ€”Modernism Week continues its mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to fund scholarships and preservation grants across California.
