Center Stage Gala Logo 2025

The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert is proud to announce Jeff Weyant and Marty Massiello will receive the Legacy Award at its annual Center Stage gala, presented by Eisenhower Health.

The award honors those who have made a lasting impact on the Coachella Valleyโ€™s LGBTQ+ community. As longtime supporters of The Center, Weyant and Massiello have contributed significantly to building the thriving and expansive organization The Center is today.

โ€œJeff and Marty have been instrumental in the establishment and continued growth of The Center Coachella,โ€ said The Centerโ€™s CEO Mike Thompson. โ€œThey generously helped us secure a physical space in downtown Coachella, underwrote our internship program to develop young, new leaders, and are supporting the continued expansion of The Centerโ€™s Eastern Coachella Valley programs.โ€

The Center Coachella is a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ+ youth living in the Eastern Coachella Valley and a source of culturally competent support for their family members. Interactions with community members at The Center Coachella more than doubled in the last year thanks to a variety of programming that brings people together and connects the community.
