The Joshua Tree Gateway Communities Association (JTGCA) is thrilled to announce the inaugural Morongo Basin Wide Autumn Pride event, themed “Caring for Our Communities.” This vibrant celebration will take place on the weekend of November 16-17, 2024, at various locations throughout the Morongo Basin. The event aims to bring together residents and visitors of all backgrounds to celebrate diversity, promote community engagement, and highlight the importance of community, inclusivity, and support.
Eric Menendez, President of JTGCA, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This event is a heartfelt invitation to everyone in all of our communities to come together and celebrate our shared values of care, respect, and inclusivity. We are proud to highlight the incredible diversity of our region and the importance of supporting each and every one of us who make up the unique fabric of our Morongo Basin communities.”
The Morongo Basin Wide Autumn Pride event will feature a series of activities and events designed to foster connections, celebrate individuality, and strengthen community bonds. All public events are family-friendly, and everyone is encouraged to participate and show their support. JTGCA also acknowledges the past work and dedication of Chris Kallgren, Andy Wood, and their team of volunteers, who organized the first LGBTQ Pride Event in the Morongo Basin nearly fifteen years ago.
