If you have been dying to scream out “Zombies are taking over the city!” then you will be able to live your dream at Comic Con Palm Springs, running August 25-27 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The popular event will feature zombies throughout the three-day show, including staging a Zombie Walk, a Zombie Café, a Zombie Maze (put on by Palm Springs Escape Room), a Zombie late night movie, and a Zombie party at the Hard Rock.
The popular Zombie Maze Room returns to Comic Con Palm Springs and will run throughout the event. This free Zombie game, sponsored by Escape Room Palm Springs (escapeps.com), allows groups of participants to work in a simulated laboratory where they'll avoid obstacles and Zombies while they follow clues to develop and test their Zombie cure. Players can participate in the maze room as often as they want.
The streets of Palm Springs will play host to ghosts, ghouls, chain-rattling hordes of undead in the popular Zombie Walk on Friday, August 25. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center and will wind its way through the streets of Palm Springs. Participation is free, but Zombie Walk participants are required to register on the event’s web site. For more information about the Zombie Walk, email Dylan@ComicConPalmSprings.com.
The Zombie Walk will culminate at Hard Rock Hotel, located at 150 S. Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, for a post-walk Zombie Party. The party is open to all ages and is free to everyone who has a CCPS Badge. Non-badge holders may purchase an entry ticket at the door for $20 (cash only).
“The prevalence of films, television shows and video games featuring Zombies proves that there is a hunger for all things Zombie-related,” said Comic Con Palm Springs Founder and Executive Producer Christopher Spellman. “Our Zombie Walk at last year’s event was incredibly popular, so we have expanded on that to feature much more Zombie-related events, like a Zombie Maze, films and parties. We are thrilled that Comic Con Palm Springs has become a go-to event in Southern California.”
Comic Con Palm Springs will screen "Seoul Station," a Zombie-themed animated film where several groups of people try to survive a zombie pandemic that unleashes itself in downtown Seoul. This screening will take place at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel’s Mojave Room. The date and time of the screening have not yet been set.
If you still haven’t gotten your fill of Zombies, you can enjoy Zombie-themed food and beverages at the show’s Zombie Café located at the Renaissance Hotel or meet actor Khary Payton, who plays a key role in the popular Zombie-themed AMC television show Walking Dead.
