“When the Supreme Court first failed to prevent Texas’ “bounty law” banning abortions after 6 weeks (and before most women even know they’re pregnant) from going into effect, it likely signaled the beginning of the end for LGBTQ rights in the US. Most people in the LGBTQ community recognized this event as being bad overall, but failed to understand its significance for the community.

The court has opened the Pandora’s Box of awfulness for LGBTQ people. In the upcoming decade it will likely result in most of the hard-won gains of the last 50 years coming evaporating. The result would be a cataclysm for the community, going forward. However, hardly anyone will fight back against the most immediate losses because they would affect the smallest, weakest, and most despised part of the community…”
