Sordid Lives creator Del Shores new one-man show directed by Emerson Collins proves once again that he is not a writer, he’s a self-proclaimed thief!  In Six Characters In Search Of A Play, Shores is inspired by Pirandello’s classic play to bring you six characters inspired by his real-life encounters that haven’t quite made it into one of Shores’ plays, films or TV shows. In 90 minutes, the audience will hear the truth behind how he collected these eccentrics, then he will portray them in classic Shores’ monologue style.

Randy Rainbow (yes, real name) is a comedian, actor, writer, host and Internet sensation best known for his viral comedy videos. His popular series of political spoofs and musical parodies have garnered international acclaim and hundreds of millions of views. Dan Savage called him “the best thing to come from the GOP race” and his musical tribute to the first presidential debate of 2016 (“BRAGGADOCIOUS!”) received 28 million views in its first two days.

All That Jazz…In The Pines of Idyllwild!

Idyllwild Arts Academy Jazz in the PinesThe 24th Annual Idyllwild Arts Jazz In The Pines is an outdoor music festival held on the grounds of the Idyllwild Arts Academy in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains above Palm Springs. The festival starts on the evening of Friday, August 11 with our VIP Patrons dinner and continues throughout the weekend on three stages offering continuous Jazz, Blues and R&B.
Crafts, jewelry and artwork are for sale in the festival marketplace along with a variety of casual dining options. Beer, wine and margaritas are available for purchase.

General admission tickets are available for individual days, as well as a discounted two-day ticket. The Patrons VIP Package ticket includes admission to the Friday evening dinner and dance party, Preferred Parking, Preferred Seating in the Main Amphitheater, admission to both days of the festival and a VIP concert on Saturday night in our brand new state of the art concert hall.

All proceeds from the festival benefit Idyllwild Arts Foundation. Our mission is changing lives through the transformative power of art. The Rancho Mirage Restaurant Association, the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce and the City of Rancho Mirage have teamed up once again to kick off the 2nd Annual Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage, an event whereby participating Rancho Mirage restaurants and resorts have created cool summer specials.  There are three installments are now through July16, August 11 – 20, and September 8 – 17.

“Holy medjool dates, Batman. Linda Carter and Stan Lee will come to Comic Con Palm Springs 2017!” Ah, we’re dating ourselves with that one. But those of us who remember ABC TV’s 1960s campy caped crusaders will get the pun. And fans of all ages will be thrilled to check out Comic Con Palm Springs Aug. 25 to Aug. 27 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros. Linda Carter, aka Wonder Woman, and Marvel creator Stan Lee will join artists, such as J. Scott Campbell, who pins Spiderman and Danger Girl at the convention.

"We’ve spent years working, observing, and listening to what people want and sought from their comic con experiences," explain organizers.  "Not only working with talent and exhibitors, but also being passionate fans ourselves, we wanted to apply all the great ideas and suggestions everyone had – yours and ours together.
