Grooves at the Westin – Greg Adams and East Bay Soul, LA Collective with special guest Eric Darius

February 18 at 7 PM, Greg Adams and East Bay Soul will move you with a performance that keeps the funk alive.  A combination of instrumental funk, soul jazz and rhythm and blues vocals, East Bay Soul creates a union that is nothing short of musical wizardry. 100 Artists Present Their Work at Desert Arts Festival

February 18-20, the Desert Arts Festival will feature 100 artists presenting their original work in all  [Desert Arts Festival image] mediums of two and three dimensional fine art, including paintings in acrylic, oils and watercolors, photography, etchings, sculpture in clay, glass, metal, stone and wood. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss their work. All work is available for purchase. 

In addition to fine art, fine crafts will also be presented. Festival attendees will find blown glass, turned wood, semi-precious jewelry, pottery, stained glass, and an array of high-quality crafts.  The Desert Art Festival is presented by West Coast Artists and benefits the Desert Art Center, a local Non-Profit Organization.


Hollywood's Biggest Night Benefits AIDS Assistance Program

And what better place to watch all the glamour of this night than the 8th Annual “Hollywood’s Biggest Night” Party benefiting AIDS Assistance Program at TRIO.

The magic begins at 4:30 p.m. with the signature ‘Orange Carpet’ arrivals, complete with ‘paparazzi.’  (Make sure you know who you are wearing!)  Then come inside and enjoy a sumptuous meal and watch the OSCARS® live (the show begins at 5:30 p.m.). Tickets for this fundraising event for AAP –Food Samaritans are priced at $125 (bar seating), $150 (general seating) and $175 (VIP/premium seating).  VIP tickets are advance purchase only. Palm Canyon Theatre's 20th Anniversary Gala Celebration

The Palm Canyon Theatre will commemorate its 20th Season Anniversary with a Gala Celebration and Fundraiser on Saturday, February 18, 2017. This special event includes a preshow reception, beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 8 p.m. performance of Evita. Intermission will include a dessert reception, with a cast meet and greet opportunity after curtain. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provided by El Mirasol.  Tickets $75

Evita – Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita charts the rags-to-riches rise of the First Lady of Argentina, who won the love of her countrymen after marrying military leader-turned-president Juan Peron. Set in Buenos Aires between 1934-1952, the musical follows Eva Duarte Peron on her journey from fatherless child to ambitious actress to the most powerful woman in Latin America—and, eventually, to a saint-like figure after her death from cancer at age 33.  Evtia runs February 17 – March 5th.  More Info
