Labor Day Monday Massage Night and Benefit for LKA Palm Springs

 

Laboring too hard?  On Monday it's "Massage Night" at the Tool Shed featuring masseur Marky Mark and special guest masseur, James Dean Hicks, Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2017.

$20 for 20 minutes on the table and all proceeds go to Let's Kick ASS Palm Springs (lkaps.org) an inclusive social group seeking to reduce the stress of of AIDS Survivor Syndrome ("ASS"). LKA-PS welcomes members regardless of HIV status, race, gender, age or sexuality, believing that the individual is the best judge of the impact of HIV on their life.  More info

Palm Springs Art Museum Presents Kinesthesia

This exhibition is the first in-depth examination of the pioneering role played by South American artists in the international Kinetic Art movement of the 1950s and 1960s. Grounded by scholarly research into experimental art movements of the late 1940s and early 1950s in Buenos Aires, Caracas, and Rio de Janeiro, Kinesthesia begins its survey with the layered “vibrational” works created by Jesús Rafael Soto for the historic Le Mouvement exhibition at Galerie Denise René in Paris (1955) and goes on to explore more than fifty examples by nine artists. The works of internationally well-known figures, such as Carlos Cruz-Diez, Gyula Kosice, and Julio Le Parc, along with Martha Boto, Horacio García-Rossi, Alejandro Otero, Abraham Palatnik, and Gregorio Vardánega, will be a discovery for most viewers in the United States. Kinesthesia makes a compelling case that although Paris remains the indisputable capital of Kinetic Art, much of the Latin American work thought to be in that category did not come into being as a consequence of the movement, but often anticipated, and unfolded in tandem with, the better-known European developments.

DRG BRNCH is Movin' on Up at the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs

Starting this Sunday, September 3rd – eight months into their run,  Arial Trampway Presents DRG BRNCH will be moving upstairs at the Hard Rock Palm Springs to the Fillmore Ballroom!  Everything is expanding in scope and excitement! Now not only will their 11:30 AM Brunch show feature an all you can eat buffet style we will also be following up with a completely new and different cocktail hour show from 2:30 pm.  Arial Trampway gives it to you in style with a completely revamped upstairs ballroom and foyer to elevate your experience to its fullest.

There are many ways to enjoy the show, including seating selection to be right up on the action! Their Brunch show VIP Premium seating is $55.00 and section 1 and section 2 seating is $40. The second cocktail hour show VIP Premium seating is $30 and section 1 and section 2 seating is $20.

Out on The Mountain 2017 

Six Flags Magic Mountain will host a private party for the LGBT community from 6 PM to 1 AM Sept. 22 and Sept. 23. During the 10th annual event, called Out On The Mountain, the entire park goes "rainbow" and provides a safe and inclusive environment of fun for the LGBTQ community, with rides, dance party, performers and thrills such as the New Revolution Galactic Attack and Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.
