Dinner in the Canyons

The Annual Dinner in the Canyon is an evening like no other.  Nestled in the lush and legendary Indian Canyons with only the stars above, and the gentle Desert breeze whispering through the palms. With exclusive privilege to the Museum, Andreas Canyon is once again their backdrop for the evening, beginning with the Sunset reception at 5:30 overlooking the ever changing vistas that are the Coachella Valley. This is followed by a sit-down dinner in the historic home of the Agua Caliente People at 6:30, surrounded by the magical serenity that has made this canyon famous around the world.

While the majestic setting may be enough, 2017 is slated to be more exciting than ever. Just before them leaving for a tour of Asia, Steven Rushingwind and the Native Groove will be stopping to perform live on stage. This multiple NAMMI nominated and award winning group will offer their unique blend of Native and Jazz music to add yet more excitement to an already packed evening. They will also welcome back a Silent Auction during cocktails and a Live Auction during dinner; all proceeds benefiting the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum, its program, events and exhibitions.

Inspiring people to learn about the Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla Indians and other Native Cultures please join this very special evening and be a part of the future. Advance ticket reservations are required and can be purchased here or by calling 760-833.8174…………………The Spirit Lives®

Joshua Tree Music Festival is "A Celebration of Life"

"The festivals are a celebration of life, lovingly produced by a family of friends and funsters who believe that music is the soul of life," say organizers of this week's 12th Annual Joshua Tree Music Festival.  "These intimate, family friendly experiences in the magical Mojave go deep to create positive and meaningful life-changing moments.  The music is diverse, positive and potent; featuring artists on the rise. A happy, loving and egalitarian space is created, where the boundary between artist and audience is blurred. We’re all in this together."

They add, "JTMF is honored to align with Joshua Tree Living Arts (501c3), a non-profit dedicated to enriching lives, empowering people, and strengthening community via sustainable educational programs. JTLA creates a robust schedule of playshops & classes at Kidsville, the Positive Vibration Station, and the Yoga & Healing stage at the festivals. Art enriches (and saves) lives."
