Audition to Join the Boys in the Band Chorus


Leading into its 19th Season, The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) will be holding open call auditions Tuesday, August 29 at 7:00p.m. at the Mizell Senior Center, 480 South Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. This special evening of camaraderie will also be an opportunity to volunteer and get involved with one of the chorus' many committees. Interested singers can also attend open rehearsals on Tuesdays, August 15 and 22 at 7:00p.m. to get a feel of what it's like to perform with the chorus and meet the members.

Hot is Cool Sizzling Summer Film Series at the Palm Springs Art Museum

Some people may desert us – but for hardcore desert dwellers who embrace the heat, the Palm Spring Art Museum crafted a summer series just for you!

Bond with fellow heat survivors on the third Thursday of each month for their FREE Summer Film Series in collaboration with the Palm Springs International Film Festival & Palm Springs ShortFest..

Make sure to enjoy free admission to #PSAM before the film!

That's right, enjoy their #FREESUMMERTHURSDAYS which include free admission to the museum every Thursday during the summer! Although this event is free space is limited so grab a seat early!  Next up, Paris, Texas, August 17th, and the series wraps up September 21 with Tracks.  More Info


Leos & Friends Hold a Pool Party for Charity

It's SFL Presents Quinceanera Palm Springs Style! This is our 15th Annual Leo Party & it's also Paul's 40th Birthday! It's a fundraiser pool party benefiting the L-Fund. $10 Donation accepted at the door. We love this organization that do so much for our community. Check them out here.

It's been a fabulous year beginning with SFL Presents being a recipient of the 2017 Palm Springs Human Rights Commissions' Community Service Award! We also held drives for kids and the homeless. Now, it's time to celebrate the sign of the Leo & those that love them. 

Bring a towel and your favorite pool toy for pool time fun! Hamburgers, hot dogs, all the fixings, refreshments, Sangria & Beer will be provided. DJ Robb from Streetbar will be our guest DJ! So be ready to Dance!

Raffle prizes will be available for purchase and a $10 suggested donation will be accepted at the door. It's all about fun so please come and help us celebrate the sign of the Leo! Sordid Lives creator Del Shores new one-man show directed by Emerson Collins proves once again that he is not a writer, he’s a self-proclaimed thief!  In Six Characters In Search Of A Play, Shores is inspired by Pirandello’s classic play to bring you six characters inspired by his real-life encounters that haven’t quite made it into one of Shores’ plays, films or TV shows. In 90 minutes, the audience will hear the truth behind how he collected these eccentrics, then he will portray them in classic Shores’ monologue style.
  
Miss Richfield 1981 – 2020 Vision: A Surivival Guide For The New World Nov 4th  

Miss Richfield 1981 returns to Palm Springs with her brand new show, “2020 Vision—A Survival Guide For The New World”, an official Palm Springs Pride event.   The show features Miss Richfield 1981’s  unique take on audience participation along with new songs, new videos, and most importantly, a new message for our new world!   During these strange times, Miss R wants to provide a message of hope—or at least survival!

Coco Peru – The Taming of the Tension Nov 11th

Miss Coco Peru has been a little tense lately and one of the things that Coco likes to do when she is tense is invite friends over to her place for tea (and/or cocktails) and a good old-fashioned bullshitting session. Coco is now inviting you to her "place" for some of her favorite stories, songs, and a good dose of bullshitting with the hope that together the tension will melt away! And for the first time ever Coco will be taking questions from her audience! So, think of good ones to ask!!!

Randy Rainbow (yes, real name) is a comedian, actor, writer, host and Internet sensation best known for his viral comedy videos. His popular series of political spoofs and musical parodies have garnered international acclaim and hundreds of millions of views.
