A White Party 28th Edition Wrap-Up

With eight parties in 72 hours bringing in 30,000 admissions through the course of an amazing DJ driven weekend, White Party Palm Springs continued its 28 year run as the world’s premier gay dance festival.

This year, producer Jeffrey Sanker, pictured with T- Dance performer Belinda Carlisle, pulled out all the stops, making this one of the most memorable White Party weekend’s in its storied history. On Sunday, Sanker brought the crowd to a spiritual peak with his annual spectacular fireworks display, choreographed to the music.

Hotels, including the Palm Springs Renaissance, have already begun taking reservations for White Party 2018 which is set for April 27-30, 2018.


Film Noir Festival Set 18th Edition Opens Thursday

“For our 18th year, we are presenting an extremely diverse line-up of films,” said festival producer and host Alan K. Rode. From Broderick Crawford’s Oscar® winning turn to Frank Sinatra in a seldom-seen, self-caricature role, there is Walter Matthau robbing banks, debonair Paul Henried as a sinister gangster and actor Dick Powell’s directorial debut.  As Rode put it: “This year’s program includes films where the principals either reinvented themselves or were cast against type.  Go Dark.

For A Day of Resistance:  Calling all legal professionals and activists and those who want to do something in this national moment.  Join us on Saturday, May 13 @ The Mizell Senior Center 1:00-5:30 pm to hear from key leaders working to protect vulnerable communities currently targeted for harm by this administration. This inspiring afternoon will have two tracks: one for Legal Professions, and one for Activists.

The goal for both is simple: to give you information, tools, and connections to engage, resist, and assist. Rise Up!
