Who Will Be Crowned Queen of the Desert?
Ethylina Canne returns Wednesday night to host the fourth Annual Queen of the Desert So-Cal Lip Sync competition at the Renaissance Palm Springs.
The fun begins with cocktails at 6:00 PM and show time at 7:00 PM. Last year was a sold-out crowd of 700, so make sure you get your tickets soon by visiting www.desertaidsproject.org. Participating Queens include Arial Trampway, Vanity Halston, PS Lola, Bellonce Aguilera, Mayhem MIller, and Crystal Champagne + a special performance by Pinkie Meringue Shimmer.
Voting has been underway for Queen of the Desert Fan Favorite now. Of course, the crown will ultimately be decided by a celebrity judging panel so don’t miss this fun-filled night benefiting Desert AIDS Project.
Dottie and Maude of Dames Soleil return this year as celebrity judges and will be joined by Ruta Lee, Joey English, Brad Fuhr and Shann Carr. We trust that this group will have plenty of color commentary to add when Miss Canne checks in with them throughout the show.
If you're not going to Queen of the Desert, or want something to do afterwards, check out Rainbow Night at Playoff's Sports Bar in Desert Hot Springs.
Their official Facebook event page proclaims, "Hello all! I can't believe May is coming to an end……crazy how time flies! That said……………….its time for some hump day fun at Playoffs! It starts as usual at 7 PM with munchies and cocktails. Our show will be a little different this month, our normal amazing hostess Pinkie Meringue Shimmer is busy (at Queen of the Desert) so we have the fabulous Anita Rose hosting instead. Everyone that knows her, knows how crazy and entertaining she is! You won't be disappointed. Get ready for a fun night. Hope to see you all!! Cheers! Get Sporty!
