The Village is a diverse, exciting establishment that includes a restaurant, sports bar, and nightclub offering great food and fun till 2 a.m. every night. We thrive on diversity and welcome everyone with open arms to dance, make friends, eat, relax and enjoy. When you’re here, you’re among friends.
Celebrating world cultures and diversity. We thrive on it and welcome everyone from all walks of life with open arms. Our goal is to have a melting pot every day.
The Village opened in 1996 to be a fun, exciting establishment with an international spin, offering great food, riveting entertainment, and dancing till 2 am, seven nights a week. It filled a niche that was missing at the time in Palm Springs for a place where one could eat, drink and dance till 2 am 7 days a week. Today, the Village continues to be the leading edge, thanks to its progressive management and its ability to adapt and evolve.
Owners Tareef Talala and sister Roula were inspired to open a tavern-like many they’ve partied at while living in countless countries spanning several continents. Their choice could not have been better.
“We thrive on and embrace diversity, be it on an individual level or that of different cultures,” said Tareef, who resided in Canada about 20 years before moving to the U.S. “This is not just a business rather, it’s a family, united by the ethos that differences only make us richer.
Tareef has a Master’s degree from Queen’s University, Ontario; Roula has a Bachelors’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University, Toronto, Canada. Together they bring a well-educated and world perspective to the Village.
Late in 2017, they added a new business partner in David Mariner. After running the hottest nightclubs in the desert, he was brought on to bring his passion and love of nightlife to the Pub. He returned to where he started in 2012 and is excited to add his expertise to the team. Together, this trio is prepared to bring the next 25 years to new levels for which the first 25 years could only build the foundation.
