Welcome to a Latin influenced modern coffee house located in a freshly minted bank building adaptive reuse project “Flannery Exchange”, located in the Tony “Uptown Design District” of Palm Springs.
Cafe La Jefa features delicious, healthy, and sustainable: specialty coffee + gourmet take away food, ripe with inspiring design and sweeping mountain views.
“Never underestimate the power of coffee and a “La Jefa” with a dream”
Behind the concept is longtime Palm Springs couple Erika and Mike Flannery, who are no strangers to hospitality and design. Erika is a Palm Spring hotel and restaurant operations veteran, Mike is behind the vacation rental giant, Acme House Company, and Sustainable developer “Solterra Builders”
The Flannery’s inspiration comes from their mutual passion for coffee, healthy & sustainable living, and a love for the community. The couple who are always on the run struggled to find healthy entree options on the go. The love of coffee and the morning ritual surrounding coffee seemed like a natural fit to pair with grab and go healthy options for later in the day.
Erika is the gifted mad scientist behind coffee drinks and healthy food options. Mike is on the business operations side of things. According to Mike, “there is no one who is more intensely engaged with the benefits of healthy food and drink than Erika.
She literally knows the chemistry behind each ingredient and process, and how they work together to produce perfection.”
