Saturday at 5 pm, celebrate the Palm Springs International Film Festival at motif with acclaimed artist Aaron Kai. His paintings of movie scenes are so realistic its hard to believe they're not photograph!s He will be showing several new pieces! Stop by Saturday January 14th from 5-8 to meet Aaron Kai. Post Election Policy Review Set for Thursday

As we count down the days to the inauguration, many of us still have lingering questions about what the impact of the incoming administration could mean to our livelihoods and communities.
While there are no concrete answers, there are those whose job it is to know what's happening now, and what may lie ahead.
The LGBT Community Center of the Desert, in conjunction with the Los Angeles LGBT Center, will be presenting a Post Election Policy Review: What Do We Do Now, on Thursday, January 12, from 5:30 to 7 pm, at the Mizell Senior Center, 480 South Sunrise Way, in Palm Springs.
This informative event will feature David Garcia, Director of Policy and Community Building at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Some of the topics to be covered will be Healthcare (including the Affordable Care Act, Ryan White, Medicaid and Medicare), Immigration, Education, and LGBT rights.
