Cinema Diverse 2018 Bonus Weekend
The Palm Springs Gay and Lesbian film festival, Cinema Diverse, presents a bonus weekend of screenings at the Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City on Friday and Saturday, September 28–29. Six films will be shown on Friday and six more on Saturday, so if you missed out on the festival last weekend, here's your chance to enjoy an additional variety of shorts and feature-length films, including Transmilitary, Mapplethorpe (Redux), and My Big Gay Italian Wedding. The Palm Springs Sisters “B-11”th Anniversary Extravaganza
Come help the Palm Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence celebrate their 11th Anniversary in the valley on Friday, September 28 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. March For Our Lives Palm Springs
UPDATE: The March For Our Lives event originally scheduled for Saturday, September 29th has been POSTPONED due to a scheduling conflict. The group hopes to reschedule before the upcoming mid-term election. A group of students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida who survived the school shooting that took 17 lives will be coming to Palm Springs. The March For Our Lives movement is part of a national campaign to meet with local students, share their experience, register younger voters, and educate the public about the impacts of gun violence. This evening event will provide an opportunity to meet and hear from the students and help support their work. More info
