Cinema Diverse is Here

Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival, is in full swing this weekend for its eleventh season,  ThursdaySeptember 20–Sunday, September 23 in the Historic Camelot Theatres at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. Opening night features the film The Long Road to Freedom: The Advocate Celebrates 50 Years. This year the festival also returns a week later to the Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City on September 28 & 29 for a Bonus Weekend of screenings. More info
 
International content streaming network Revry is proud to announce a dozen films and series appearing at this year's Cinema Diverse, including Revry Original documentaries, series, and short films. The Roost Now Open in Cathedral City!

Cathedral City's newest gay bar, The Roost, is now open near the Mary Pickford Theater in the Cathedral City Town Center. On Thursday, September 20 from 7:30 p.m–2:00 a.m., the Palm Springs Chapter of the Golden State Rodeo Association presents a Cowboy Dance and Fundraiser in the back room of Chill Bar. Get your Boot Scootin' Boogie going and dance the Two-Step, Waltz, and Line Dances! More info

Classical Palm Springs presents Fei-Fei & Nicholas Kontaxis

Classical Palm Springs presents Fei-Fei Dong in concert along with an art exhibition by Rancho Mirage’s very own Nicholas Kontaxis on Saturday, September 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs! Fei-Fei is the winner of the Concert Artist Guild Competition in New York and Finalist at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award winner Mel Brooks will bring his hilarious career retrospective to The Show at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa on Saturday, September 29 at 8:00 p.m. An Evening with Mel Brooks will explore the legendary filmmaker’s life as an actor, writer, producer, and director through personal anecdotes and clips from some of his most memorable movies.
