Margaret Cho at Outlandish Performance Series
Margaret Cho makes her Outlandish debut on Saturday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center as part of the Outlandish Palm Springs performance series. Synonymous with stand-up comedy that is both gut-wrenching and hilarious, Margaret’s ground-breaking and controversial work has played to sold-out houses across the nation. From Thursday, October 17 through Sunday, October 20, you can enjoy a variety of more than 50 new and favorite events at Modernism Week Preview, drawn from the annual Modernism Week festival held in February. Palm Springs City of Diversity Home Tour
The Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs (ONE-PS), present the self-guided City of Diversity Home Tour on Saturday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. You’ll visit 6 vibrant homes in 6 very different neighborhoods. The homes were selected to present a variety of interior styles and accents from whimsical to classic midcentury. Casual Concours Car Show
The finest midcentury car show in the Coachella Valley, Casual Concours, takes place Saturday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at the Desert Princess Country Club. The show reflects the unique collector car culture of Palm Springs, with dominant displays of rarely seen luxury cars of the 1950s–80s and a focus on styling, color, luxury features, historical significance and showroom condition—in other words, midcentury glamour! Dirty Little Secrets Burlesque – “Scared Shirtless”
