Weekend Theatre

This is the final weekend of performances for these productions, so be sure to grab your tickets and catch them before they're gone! Don't miss our reviews of Church & StateAvenue Q, and How I Learned to Drive, reviewed by Stephen Radosh.

Dezart Performs presents Church and State, opening Friday November 9 and running through Sunday, November 18. Three days before his bid for reelection, a Republican U.S. senator makes an off-the-cuff comment to a blogger that gets leaked on Twitter, calling into question the senator's stance on guns and God. As his devoutly Christian wife and liberal Jewish campaign manager try to contain the damage, this look at how religion influences politics and how politics has become a religion is simultaneously funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting. Read our review by Stephen Radosh & Get tickets

Palm Canyon Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Avenue Q, running through Sunday, November 18. This controversial, modern musical centers around a group of foul mouthed puppets living in an apartment complex together. With songs like, “It Sucks to Be Me”, “The Internet is for Porn”, and “What Do You Do With A B.A. in English” you’re sure to be rolling in the seats. (Adult content-not recommended for children). Read our review by Stephen Radosh & Get tickets
