Gay Desert Guide Weekend: May 31–Jun 2

Pride Month begins as we honor the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall, Restaurant Week begins, a new Queen of the Desert, ShortFest on sale now, CV Music Awards, Vacaya Cruise Giveaway, Rocketman private screening, Spring Showcase, Meteor Shower, plus HOT DEALS and Happy Hours!

A Very Special Pride Month

Pride celebrations this year take on added significance as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which kicked off the modern gay rights movement and is the reason we celebrate Pride month in June in the first place. The World Pride celebration fittingly takes place this year in New York City and as part of this, the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus will be performing at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, June 27. “Quiet No More – A Choral Celebration of Stonewall” is a brand new choral music suite co-commissioned by the New York City and Los Angeles Gay Men’s Choruses. The piece will have performances by choruses throughout the US in 2019, the largest collaboration in the history of LGBTQ choruses.

Back here in California, we have a number of pride celebrations in the near future:

Go to the Gay Desert Guide Events Page and search the Calendar for “Pride” to see all the latest and even more upcoming!
