Brad Fuhr @ Roost with Hot Rodeo
Today you get to see the real me and not the caricature.  That’s because Buck Beal and members of the Palm Springs Rodeo gave me a special gift.  It’s actually on behalf of my entire Gay Desert Guide team that I accepted their recognition for our work during COVID-19.  Between our twice weekly blog, virtual events calendar, social media posts and the #ILoveGayPalmSprings podcast, it appears we did our job!
Keeping you updated on how our LGBTQ+ communities were trying to stay engaged, positive and hopeful was a big task.  We relied on partners including the Jimmy Boegle at the Coachella Valley Independent, Dr. Laura Rush at Kaiser, the light-heartedness of co-hosts Shann Carr and John Taylor and many others to our weekly #ILoveGayPalmSprings vodcast/podcast (which will be returning this fall!)
Online, Alex McCune and Jonathan Dooley kept the calendars updated and the flow of information posted. And we shared on social media with help from Jared Watson, Jeff Denean Jones and Nick Singleton.  A great team effort.
So thank you, Palm Springs Rodeo, for acknowledging our work!  There’s more big news ahead.  But for now, see what’s happening this weekend in our blog.
