San Diego Pride‘s big weekend is here with three main events:
Spirit of Stonewall Rally: Friday, July 12 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Pride Flag
Since their first rally in 1975, San Diego Pride’s Spirit of Stonewall Rally is a time to recognize and honor leaders who are working hard to preserve our gains and meet the many challenges still facing our community.
Pride Parade: Saturday, July 13 stepping off from Hillcrest Pride Flag
The annual San Diego Pride Parade is the largest single-day civic event in the region and is among the largest Prides in the United States, attracting over 250,000 people. This year’s theme: Stonewall 50: Legacy of Liberation.
Pride Festival: Saturday, July 13 from 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. | Sunday, July 12 from 11:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Marston Point in Balboa Park The Pride Festival includes multiple stages of entertainment, more than 100 entertainers, and dozens of vendor booths, exhibits, cultural presentations, delicious food booths, and over 40,000 of your closest friends!
FRIENDS! The Musical Parody is coming to the Annenberg Theater for three performances: Friday, July 14, 15 and 16. This hilarious new musical lovingly lampoons TV’s Friends, celebrating the wacky misadventures of your favorite group of 20-something pals as they navigate the pitfalls of work, life, and love in 1990s Manhattan. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Sunday Matinee at 2:00 p.m. Get tickets
Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage
From July 11 through August 18, participating Rancho Mirage restaurants and resorts have created cool summer specials for Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage. Get your $10 wristband to participate and enjoy $4 appetizers, desserts and/or drinks at great restaurants throughout the valley! A portion of proceeds benefit Coachella Valley charities and your local chamber of commerce.

Palm Springs Art Museum Summer Film Series
On Thursday, July 11 the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Annenberg Theater present the next film in the FREE Summer Film Series: “Putney Swope” (1969), directed by Robert Downey, Sr. The film series, themed as “Summer of ’69” celebrates the 50 years since the end of the 60’s with films reflecting the climate of the time. Screenings continue every two weeks through July and August with “Shampoo,” “Medium Cool,” “The Rain People,” and “Zabriskie Point.” Specialty cocktails created specifically for each film will be available in Persimmon Bistro 4:00–6:00 p.m. More info

“Spring Awakening”
Palm Canyon Theatre presents Spring Awakening through July 14. The musical features music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. It is based on the German play Spring Awakening (1891) by Frank Wedekind. Set in late-19th-century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of teenage sexuality. Get tickets
“Ruthless! The Musical”
Desert Rose Playhouse presents Ruthless! The Musical, through July 14. The show, directed by Loren Freeman and starring Desert Rose Playhouse Artistic Producing Director Robbie Wayne, famously spoofs Broadway musicals from Gypsy to Mame as well as many iconic films including The Bad Seed and All About Eve.
