Retailers: Not so fast with moving those masks to the bargain bin! And, dear readers, if you see one you like on sale, better grab it now before it goes up in price! The mask mandate is back and I’m happy to oblige after a COVID scare myself, a negative test and a summer cold that took me out for a few days.
I’m not thinking there will be another run on toilet paper, but we accidentally stocked up last week, and now have enough to get the office through another six months! But let’s not throw caution – and droplets – to the wind. This simple measure continues to prove effective. And we know so much more now than we did at the dawn the the pandemic.
Happy 40th anniversary to MTV, which debuted August 1, 1981. I was a mere kid, programming a Top 40 radio station when MTV came onto our cable TV that day. Remember “Video Killed the Radio Star”, the first song played? I certainly do! And I hear radio is making a big comeback Sunday. Hmmm, wonder what that’s all about???

The Desert Rose Playhouse presents “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” running now through Sunday, August 8.
