We are preparing (and you should be too) for a major storm – Hurricane Hillary – to strike our area over the weekend. While I wrote about our wild weather on Monday, I had no idea that I would be writing about it again.
This time, it’s much more ominous. As I check the forecast maps, it’s not looking good for our entire area. So we are joining the cadre of local officials, forecasters and disaster preparedness experts to be “better safe than sorry”.
This will certainly put a damper on all the events scheduled, including our Top 3 which are all outdoor events. As the weather deteriorates and we hear of cancellations, our team will be keeping you updated on our socials, online and on KGAY 106.5 and KMEE 103.1.
The Emergency Alert System will be activated by the National Weather Service and local officials as needed. When you hear the tones on the air, please pay attention to the information. The biggest issue first responders deal with in the valley are stupid people trying to drive through flooded streets. Don’t be one of them. Again, stay tuned to KGAY & KMEE as this storm develops.
