Coachella Weekend 2

The second of two weekends of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Featured artists include Janelle Monáe, Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande. Not to mention the much-anticipated Easter Sunday Service led by Kanye West.

Easter Sunday

This Sunday, April 21 is Easter, and aside from Kanye’s Sunday Service at Coachella Music & Arts Festival there are plenty of other options to celebrate the day in the Greater Palm Springs area. Lee Squared at The Purple Room

Lee Squared is an evening with Liberace and Miss Peggy Lee, presented by The Purple Room on Saturday, April 20 from 6:00–10:00 p.m. In this funny and touching tribute, New York City Bistro and MAC Award Winners David Maiocco and Chuck Sweeney reprise their iconic performances as the music legends who defined four decades of music and pop culture. Pageant: The Musical

The Desert Rose Playhouse presents Pageant: The Musical, from April 26 through May 12. This side-splitting look at a beauty pageant in drag is a funny, wacky and ultimately endearing musical about the trials and tribulations of six contestants vying for the title of Miss Glamouresse. You’ll laugh and cheer as Miss West Coast, Miss Great Plains, Miss Industrial Northeast, Miss Bible Belt, Miss Texas and Miss Deep South (all in drag, of course) do their best to sing, dance and claw their way to the tiara.
