Cat City Drag Race Continues at Runway, The Roost

Help the Cathedral City Gay Bars find the “Royal Highness of Cat City” during the Cathedral City Drag Race, running through October 7. Nine contestants will be scored by local celebrity judges on originality, themed outfit, personality, and performance. With weekly prizes and audience favorites, the contestant with the most points at the finish line wins the title! Hosted by Anita Treadmill with music by DJ Galaxy from KGAY 106.5. – The next location will be Runway on Monday, September 23 from 6:00–9:00 p.m., and moving next week to The Roost on Monday, September 30, from 6:00–9:00 p.m.  More info

Jazzville Presents VDE Quartet at Wang’s

Jazzville presents the VDE Quartet featuring legendary sax player Kim Richmond on Wednesday, September 25 from 7:00–9:30 p.m. at Wang’s in the Desert. It will cast a bright light on talented local women and explore the issues and attitudes that define women’s experiences everywhere.
