A Walk on the Warm Side – Warm Sands Open House

 On Tuesday, June 5 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. the Warm Sands Neighborhood Organization hosts the first-ever Walk on the Warm Side, an opportunity for locals to discover the neighborhood's hospitality gems. Stroll along quiet, palm tree fringed streets and choose which resorts you wish to visit from a map you will receive along with a wrist band at the registration table. Gay Desert Guide is the primary media sponsor of this special event and we will see you at the registration table! Jazzville at Oscar's

Jazzville is a monthly live jazz scene in Palm Springs presented by DJ Baz at Oscar's Café downtown, hosted by Jeff Wolf of 107.3 Mod FM. Come hear world-class musicians and enjoy good wine and food, too (no minimum). Jazzville on June 6 from 7:00–10:00 p.m. presents Drew Ninmer on trumpet (from the movie Whiplash), Martin Diller on drums (Postmodern Jukebox) and Will Lyle on bass (rising all-star). Splash House Starts Friday

The epitome of poolside fun in the sun, Splash House kicks off the summer pool party season with Palm Springs style, Friday, June 8–Sunday, June 10 at three different venues: The Renaissance, Riviera, and Saguaro Hotels, as well as an after-hours party at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

With forecast highs in the 100's and lows in the 70's, you'll want to get wet during the day and stay out late at night! As the city of Palm Springs turns 80 years old and during the worldwide Pride Month in June, Palm Springs Pride announced it is recognizing the contributions and achievements of eighty lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender leaders and allies as OUTstanding Voices from Palm Springs. Palm Springs Speaks – Andy Weir

Palm Springs Speaks will hold a special bonus event featuring famed author Andy Weir, on Thursday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center (formerly Camelot Theatres). Andy's first novel, The Martian, was later adapted into a film of the same name directed by Ridley Scott (starring Matt Damon) in 2015. His most recent novel, Artemis, was published in 2017. As the days heat up and May turns to June, Palm Springs' famous and festive street fair, VillageFest, moves into their summer hours: Starting Thursday, June 7, and continuing through the summer, VillageFest starts at 7:00 p.m., closing at 10:00 p.m. More info

LA Pride Week Underway

LA Pride Week 2018 is now underway, with the big weekend being June 9–10, when the City of West Hollywood will play host to the 48th annual LA Pride Parade and Festival—an amazing weekend of self-expression, community, good times, and great memories. Save the Date: Stonewall Awards Gala June 28

On Thursday, June 28, the Stonewall Humanitarian Awards Gala will celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

The Gala will take place at Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City with a special musical performance by SVET, an Electro Hip Hop Violinist as seen on America’s Got Talent. This event is also and educational platform for youth to learn the importance of Stonewall, and SVET will be joined by LGBTQ+ Palm Springs High School Student violinists. Funds benefit the Transgender Community Coalition to continue services for the LGBTQ+ Community. Get tickets
