Eisenhower Health presents In the Mirror: A Look Into Male Body Image and Body Dysmorphia on Wednesday, June 27, from 05:00–06:30 p.m. at the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce. Many studies reveal that a surprisingly high proportion of men are dissatisfied with, preoccupied with, and even impaired by concerns about their appearance. The Golden Girls Live in Palm Springs
San Francisco's legendary Golden Girls production descends on Palm Springs for the first time ever for multiple performances from Wednesday, June 27–Sunday July 1 at Oscar’s Cafe and Bar. This loving send up of two episodes of the uproariously funny TV show The Golden Girls features San Francisco’s leading drag comic performers bringing the Fab Four to life live on stage. The four drag stars playing the characters the entire world has come to know and love are Heklina (Dorothy), Matthew Martin (Blanche), D’Arcy Drollinger (Rose), and Holotta Tymes (Sophia). Stonewall Gardens presents LGBT Pride Community Open House
Stonewall Gardens, Palm Springs’ first senior assisted living village for the LGBT community and friends, will host its annual LGBT Pride Community Open House on Thursday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. This day marks the 49th anniversary of the 1969 uprising at the Stonewall Inn in New York’s Greenwich village, after which the assisted living facility was named. Learn more about this event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBT rights in the United States–audience members are encourage to share their own reminiscences. More info
